1. How to distinguish CIMIC tiles?
On the package and back of our products, there are CIMIC trademarks. It is better to buy our products at our stores, agents and building material market with good fame.
2. What do that CIMIC passed ‘3C Certification’ and ‘Class A Product in Radioactive Test mean?
3C is compulsory authentication, for short of ‘China Compulsory Certification’. Ceramic tiles have been not allowed to be marketed without 3C sign since Aug 1, 2005. ‘Radioactive Test Class A Product’ means interior and exterior irradiation indexes of products are in accordance with standard of class A products without any limit to applying sites. Irradiation index of class B and C is relevant high, so there are some limitations for their transportation and application.
3. Are products of CIMIC divided into first-rate products and eligible products? How to distinguish them?
Yes, there are first-rate products and eligible products according to different examination standard which are all usable. The major difference between them is on appearance and allowable distortion, such as spot, dimension, size difference and evenness. The packages of first-rate products are printed with “First-rate” or “P Level”, and that of eligible products “eligible”.
4. How to classify tiles?
According to national standard GB/T 4100, ceramic tiles, in terms of water absorption (E), can be classified into: vitrified tile :E≤0.5%, hard tile: 0.5%<E≤3% , fine hard tile: :3%<E≤6% (glaze floor tile), hard brick: 6%<E≤10%, pottery brick: E>10%(glaze wall tile)
5. Why the size of products I bought is different from that on the advertisement?
According to the national standard, .titular size is utilized for general size designation(e.g.30 title, 40 tile ), and working size is confirmed by manufacturing size (e.g. 298 mm, 398 mm, 598 mm).
6. Why the color of tiles I bought is lighter than that of samples in the franchising store?
Because the raw material is natural mineral which may be affected by the environment, therefore, the colour may be a little different.
7. I heard that there is a film of antifouling composition on the surface of your product, why? Which influences occurred in usage?
At present, almost all buffing tiles are coated antifouling composition, which has oil and water type, the former one is applied widely. It is used to prevent the tiles being polluted by grout and rubber-print when tiling, as well as tea, ink, coffee and shoe-print when using. We adopt the third generation organic silicone which has excellent performance. Please maintain the tile periodically and coat wax for protection after cleaning.
8. After cleaning, some wax still exist on tile. How to clear it away not damaging tiles?
Generally speaking, it can be cleared away by wiping with dry wood chips or acetone organic solvents. CIMIC tiles are all treated with antifouling composition . However, if there is blot with strong chromaticity, it should be cleared as soon as possible to prevent permeance.
9. Which tiles are suitable to be used in kitchen?
If there are elders and children in your family, it is better to use matt tiles which have excellent slide-proof performance.
10. I read in the newspaper that it is better to keep a little gap when tiling to prevent unfavorable condition caused by subsidence and wall problem ,, how to do it?
It is suggested to use 2mm plastic cross. The details are available in the instruction. It is better to use quality filler , sucn as: DAVCO, MAPEI, HANKAO, and CAOYANG.
11. Our engineer said that the vitrified tiles I bought are hard to be cut, because it is pone to crack. Why?
Our vitrified tiles have high hardness. It is suggested to use professional cutting tools. Please cut according to the methods in the instruction.
